Patrice Bergeron was born in Quebec Canada. Unlike most NHL payers, he was hesitant to start skating. He was very unsure of himself and did not start skating until he was five years old which is late for most professionals. he then went on to play for Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After juniors he declared for the NHL draft and was drafted by the Bruins.
